This application allows you to convert images to Windows icons (*.ico) easily.
How to use this:
- Load your image into program via "Load image file" button
- If the image does not load, try converting it to other image format. Currently this program relies on Flash image loader.
- If your image has non-square aspect ratio, it will be resized, adding 'free space' to it.
- If your image has unsupported extension but supported format, you might want to use 'All files' option.
- Configure options to your likes.
- Importantly, select icon sizes to be included in file. By default, 16, 32, and 64px icon sizes are chosen.
You might want to include larger versions if you are using an icon dock application or OS with larger icons supported.
- You can as well scroll around (by dragging mouse in image area) and zoom (by using mouse wheel), if you wish (this has no effect on final icon).
- Use "Save as icon" button to save a final icon to your hard drive.
- It would be wise to specify an .ico extension for these.
